Retford Model Flying Club

on Sunday 28th April commencing at 10.00hrs- 16.30hrs

RMFC flying site is located to the east of North Leverton

This Examiner / Instructor workshop is being held to support the Achievement Scheme and to help improve consistency and is open to any examiner, instructor or BMFA member interested in the achievement scheme.


The purpose of the workshop is to allow Examiners, Instructors and pilots the opportunity to gain experience, share information and discuss the requirements of the ‘A’ and ‘B’ tests in a relaxed and informal environment. Examiners will be asked to ‘score’ individuals whilst they perform mock tests, following which there will be the opportunity to compare notes and discuss the flights and the test format in general.

Free refreshments will be provided throughout the day, along with BBQ at lunchtime.

Midland Area Open Day @ National Flying Centre Buckminster
Jul 14 @ 10:00 am – 5:00 pm


Flying on the day will be £5 but free to Midland Area members producing BMFA membership card and  can also attend an area meeting . Buckminster season ticket holders welcome to join us.

Camping available £8 per night booking via Buckminster.

Midland Area made excellent progress  communicating with area clubs by holding the 1st Midland Area open day last year with delegates attending a meeting to seek a way forward for the area. The meeting was well attended even though it was held mid week . This year Open Day will be held on Sunday giving more members the chance to attend and fly.

During the lunch break  there will be an Area meeting for club delegates and all area members giving the chance to meet the committee . Any points raised and discussed could be carried forward to the AGM in December.
