Princes Trust visit to Newark Indoor Flying Club

On the 12th December the newly formed princes trust flying youth group from Gainsborough visited Newark indoor flying club at their invite at their newark showground site for a session of virtual flying on several sims set up and to have a go at flying on a buddy system. The event was very well attended by both the youth group and the NIFC.

The youngsters had the opportunity to fly on a buddy system on various indoor models from cubs to quads. This was  very much enjoyed by those who took up the opportunity. The youngsters, all aged between 16 and 25 were very enthusiastic and were quite dedicated at keeping their virtual planes/ helicopters and drones flying in the air.

Prior to this visit i visited the NIFC at their Farndon indoor flying site along with Leigh Perkins, the creator of the new youth group on the 5th December to finalise the details of the upcoming visit on the 12th and to meet with the members of NIFC.

On the 12th December visit, the NIFC formally presented to Leigh Perkins and his group, a Quattrox drone. complete with batteries, camera, and controller.

I cannot thank the NIFC for all their help and assistance and for hosting what was a fantastic evening of flying that passed far too quickly!.
